Mekong, Taiwan
I was so excited to visit Taiwan. After all, this was the land of night markets and really good food. I went to the night markets, but seriously did not think I would fall in love with another part of Taiwan, and it is Mekong.
Mekong is famous for their tea. You can get on a cable car to look at the beautiful surrounding valleys, hills, and lush greenery. When you get off, it is another sight to behold. Valleys and valleys of tea speckled with tea houses all around. You can try fresh brewed tea overlooking the landscape.
We ended up spending the day in Mekong, sampling teas and little snacks (egg tarts!) and wandering around this cute place.
